Founder, Clinical Supervisor, Psychotherapist
Rebecca firmly believes in every individual's innate capacity to heal. Moving fluidly between psychoanalytic and somatic modalities, Rebecca works with adults and adolescents to process everything from "Big T Traumas" to the trauma of being human - and everything in between.
Rebecca is a perennial student of theories and philosophies that enrich her own life and bolster her professional practice. Rebecca's work is significantly influenced by her interest in Polyvagal Theory and an understanding of early attachment, as well traditional psychoanalysis and the teachings of Peter Levine, PhD (founder of Somatic Experiencing®).
Rebecca blends a top down approach (the words we put to our story and what we think) with a bottom up pathway (starting with sensation and physiology). And while all of these theories and modalities resonate deeply with Rebecca, the cornerstone of her approach is the relationship. Her work with clients is connection-focused and collaborative.
Rebecca specializes in working with adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, especially medical and health related trauma. Other areas of focus include early attachment trauma and the impact of disrupted attachment on present relationships and parenting. Rebecca's work honors the unique circumstances each person brings while also utilizing methods that have proven to promote growth and reduce emotional distress.
Rebecca earned her Master of Social Work from New York University. She continued on to obtain a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Psychoanalytic Training Institute of the New York Counseling and Guidance Service as well a certificate in Advanced Assessment and Diagnosis from NYU. She has also received additional training in holistic approaches to trauma, grief work, and suicide prevention. Rebecca is currently pursuing a certificate in Somatic Experiencing® from Somatic Experiencing International.
Prior to her fifteen year career in the mental health field, Rebecca's first career was in education, during which she taught Middle School in Manhattan after earning a Master in Teaching from Fordham University.
Rebecca continues to serve as an adjunct psychotherapy supervisor and Director of Graduate Clinical Training at Upshur Bren Psychology Group in Pelham, New York.
Currently Rebecca lives in New Rochelle, New York with her husband and three daughters.

Psychotherapist
With 17 years of experience in Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, specializing in fertility and Women's Health, Liz pursued her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy to enhance her ability to offer an integrative approach. Together with her clients, Liz establishes clear goals, fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and the root causes of their challenges.
Drawing from a blend of psychoanalysis, somatic work, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, Liz enriches her practice with mindfulness, breathwork, and holistic lifestyle interventions.
Although Liz initially earned her BA in Psychology from Bowdoin College with the intention of becoming a psychotherapist, her journey took her through the study and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Though this part of her career has been deeply fulfilling, it felt incomplete. She is thrilled to now weave these two disciplines together, driven by her enduring passion for the connection between physical health and emotional well-being.
Given Liz’s background in fertility and Women’s Health, Liz works with individuals and couples facing challenges on the path to parenthood, as well as individuals facing pregnancy struggles and postpartum mood disorders. In addition, Liz works with individuals facing a range of issues, including, body image concerns, career challenges, and relationship issues.
In her therapy sessions, Liz fosters a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental environment, ensuring that each individual feels supported and understood. With humor and grace, Liz takes a straightforward and honest approach in therapy, focusing on what truly matters to help you achieve your goals.
